This is a Philodendron José Bueno — a hybrid collector's plant with long, narrow leaves marked with irregular patches of lighter and darker green. No two leaves come out quite the same. That mottling isn't a sign of stress. It's the variety. It's the whole point.

This one is well established — full, healthy, and putting out good-sized leaves. The largest is around 15 cm. It sits wide and low, the kind of plant that fills a spot on a shelf or bench with real presence without needing height to do it.

There's a new leaf that's just opened — already out, but still growing into its size and finding its true colour. That shift as it matures is one of the quiet pleasures of this plant.
